AT&T 3G NETWORK SHUTDOWN

What you need to know

  • AT&T’s 3G network shutdown commenced on February 22, 2022
  • The company first has previously published a list of “Approved” phones that will continue to work following the shutdown. (Link Below)
  • Anyone still using a 3G phone or non-approved device will need to upgrade to continue reliably using AT&T’s network.

AT&T has shifted from welcoming any device that is compatible with their network to a “whitelist” only approved device policy.  If your device is not on this this your risk is high that it will not work on the AT&T network.  You may have a 5G device that is compatible but if it is not AT&T approved it’s likely a “no-go” on the network.

Here is the list of devices currently approved for use on AT&T: https://www.att.com/idpassets/images/support/pdf/Devices-Working-on-ATT-Network.pdf

If your device is not listed check with you local AT&T store for promotions to help you upgrade.
